Big Sandy Area Community Action Program is seeking qualified candidates for Weatherization Crew Laborers Responsibilities include: Performing energy saving functions to existing structures which may include air infiltration, duct repair, insulation, roofing, ceiling repair, wall and floor repair, and heat system installation Replacing broken windows and sealing cracks around doors and windows with appropriate materials Installing doors, thresholds, and door sweeps Climbing ladders and/or scaffolding to perform repairs or installations Successfully completing all required training courses Completing work in confined spaces Qualifications High School Diploma or GED is preferred Two years experience in carpentry and construction experience that includes a wide range of generals skills and knowledge Ability to lift/move heavy objects (up to 100 lbs.), bend, stoop, crawl, climb, and perform work in various weather conditions Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions Must be proficient in the proper use and care of power and hand tools Valid drivers license and frequent travel required.
